Welcome fellow book dragons!

Why The Craft Dragon?

As an author who has been publishing for a little over half a decade, I know how hard it is to find information about building your writing craft. I also know that taking classes that only give you a breadcrumb to get you to subscribe for more adds up. 


I wanted to create a space where authors, like myself, could come to and ask questions and watch how-to videos that didn't have strings attached. 


However, my ADHD brain doesn't like to stay in one place, and I realized that I have a lot of bookish hobbies beyond writing. I started a craft business where I make handmade merchandise for authors, and wanted to have a place that readers, authors, and other creatives could come as well. 


So, I built The Craft Dragon. A two-for-one place where all of my bookish interests can be shared with the world.

Custom Magnetic Bookmarks

 

Whether you’re looking for something to take with you to book signings, to send readers with your signed copies, add to your book boxes, or offer your Kickstarter campaign, I've got you! 


I'm happy to use a design you've already curated or work with you to design something that matches your vision and brand! 


Minimum Order - 20 Bookmarks

Turnaround Time is flexible and can be expedited to fit your needs. 


Apparel Merchandise Creation & Design

From t-shirts to sweaters and hoodies, I can add your custom design using either vinyl or screen printing. You're welcome to bring your own design or to work with me to come up with one that fits what you're looking for!


Minimum order for apparel creation - 25

Character Art Commissions

2-4 Week Turnaround Time. Prices will be agreed upon before starting so there are no unexpected fees. Half is due upon receiving the sketch with color palette. The rest is due upon final file delivery. You'll get a watermarked one first, then once invoice is paid, you'll be redirected to download the non-watermarked files.


PRICE LIST:


  • Character Only (No background. Can be more if there are intricate objects) - $100 / character


  • Lover Hands - With simple image background $150 / With flat color background $100. Simple magic / tattoos or markings are included. For complex objects or intricate designs, we'll need to discuss it so I can properly quote you. 


  • Chibis & Tropes - Includes 2 chibis with a very simple background (Not pictured in the example shown. That's a complex one.) +$25 per additional chibi and included up to 6 trope arrows. You'll recieve the art images with and without the tropes. $75


  • NSFW - Simple background is included (shown in example). For complex backgrounds +$100 (ie, bedroom / forest / castle in the distance etc.). +$100 per character. I reserve to right to turn down something I don't feel comfortable with but, really anything is on the table but minors. 


  • Full Image Illustration - $100 per character (complex items might be more). Includes a flat color background. +$50 for a simple background (shown in example) or +$100 for complex background (such as castles or intricate vines etc.)

The Fine Print

Prices will be agreed upon before starting so there are no unexpected fees. Half is due up front, and the rest is due upon final file delivery. You'll get a watermarked file of the design first, then once you're happy with it and ready to get the final files, you'll paid out the invoice and the site will redirect you where you can download the non-watermarked files.

What do I need from you?

Upon booking, please have the trim size, page count, page and ink type, and let me know where you'll be uploading it so I can ensure it's sized right.


Examples of things you like or images that have the same vibe you're going for are helpful. 


As many details as you can give me, the better. If you have a specific idea in mind, let me know! A brief description of the book, as well as any symbols, items, or little things we can hint at on the cover if there's space is helpful! If you're not sure what you want on the cover, and you want me to just come up with something, please try to give me a synopsis of the book so I can make sure the design fits as much as possible. 

What files do you get?

You'll get the final formatted files that are ready to upload, as well as, the artwork without typography, elemental PNGs that you can use in your own graphics, and a Photoshop or Canva file where you can edit the blurb should you change it in the future.

Character Cover - $300

(Includes 2 illustrated characters with a simple background and typography)

 

Object Illustration Cover - $250

(for example, an illustrated hand holding a crown or vampire stake, and typography)
